Skin Gulch Restoration
larimer County, Colorado
Project Summary
Western Lands worked on a multidisciplinary team of ecologists, wildlife biologists, and geomorphologists on this design/build river restoration project. This project was located on US Forest Service land that had been negatively impacted by a large wildfire. We provided landscape enhancement plans as well as on-site management of the construction.
This project restored approximately one half mile of stream channel as well as the adjacent riparian habitat. Within two growing seasons, this highly degraded site was brought back to a lush and ecologically diverse habitat.
