Buffalo Meadows Ranch
Jefferson County, Colorado
Project Summary
The Buffalo Meadows project was a 20-acre property in the mountains west of Denver. This project involved developing a site master plan with the architect who was in the process of developing drawings for a luxury custom home. Western Lands managed the county rezoning process that included working with Planning and Zoning Department, public hearings, and neighborhood meetings.
In addition, we managed the enhancement of the entire property with the design and construction of a pond, windmill, perimeter fence, and the demolition of two houses and several dilapidated barns. We also provided the planning and management of a wildfire fuel reduction plan and noxious weed mitigation. We were able to use goats as a weed control method since the client was against the use of harmful chemicals on the land. The client ultimately decided to sell the enhanced property as an exit strategy as Western Lands managed the transaction.
