Rocky Mountain Mustang Refuge
Park County, Colorado
Project Summary
Western Lands is developing the plans for a wild mustang and burro refuge that will be located on the Heritage Ranch property. We have designed and constructed the initial infrastructure that includes pastures and holding pens that vary from 1, 2, 10, 40 and 200 acres in size.
We have developed water improvements, roads, and are in the planning phases for the refuge headquarters, which will include several barns, a vet clinic, and a visitor center. We are also involved in the operational planning, mustang care, and fund raising for the non-profit entity of the refuge.
